Online Video Reaches 50% of the US Population

In 2011 online video viewers became the majority, reaching over 50% penetration in the US market.  From smartphones, to tablets and on the PC more and more people are watching videos online.

In 2010, newspaper sites surpassed broadcast sites for the first time in total minutes of video streamed:

  • Broadcast News Sites: 290,958,556 Minutes
  • Newspaper Sites: 313,082,730 Minutes
